The book is a collection of dozen papers that were used initially as content for an exploratory seminar offered by the editors on the right to communicate starting in 1973 at the University of Hawaii. Subsequently, the papers were reviewed at UNESCO in conjunction with its then new program on the right and were read by the authors of the original essays contained in the Evolving Perspectives book.
